Wayne Hulon is an American Board-Certified Psychotherapist, Neurotherapist, Neurofeedback Provider, and Executive Director of the American College of Psychotherapy. Prior to this, he was the Former Chairman of Ethics: Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia.
Wayne’s private practice in John’s Creek is where he focuses on Brain Mapping and Neurofeedback for Drug and Alcohol programs. His Brain Mapping process involves administering a Quantitative Electroencephalogram, a diagnostic tool measuring the electrical activity of the brain. His QEEG reveals overall function of the brain as well as traumatic brain injuries, thought patterns, processing speeds, stress levels, emotions, and the level of deviation from optimum functioning. The Brain Mapping compares the brainwaves of the individual to age and gender-controlled databases compiled from the EEGs of individuals with no known brain dysfunction, called a normative database.
His work also administers psycho-social testing to assess styles, levels of functioning, affective disorders, and cross-validating this information with neuropsychological testing to assess areas of dysfunction that can guide medication choice as well as determine course, modalities, and goals of treatment. His treatment options include laser light therapy, neurofeedback, psychotherapy, or psychotherapeutic intervention for biofeedback or pain management.
Tanya Lehine, DO is a family medicine physician that received her doctorate from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. After a few years into her career, she became disheartened by the traditional medical model, including the lack of time and ability to create depth of understanding of patient’s unique presentation of their symptoms and/or “dis-ease”. She then began her training through the Institute of Functional Medicine. The functional medicine model, as defined by the IFM, is “an individualized, patient-centered, science-based approach that empowers patients and practitioners to work together to address the underlying causes of disease and promote optimal wellness.
It requires a detailed understanding of each patient’s genetic, biochemical, and lifestyle factors and leverages that data to direct personalized treatment plans that lead to improved patient outcomes. By addressing root cause, rather than symptoms, practitioners become oriented to identifying the complexity of disease. They may find one condition has many different causes and, likewise, one cause may result in many different conditions. As a result, functional medicine treatment targets the specific manifestations of disease in each individual”.
In 2018, Dr. Lehine was honored to be named as first runner-up in Best of North Atlanta for the category of Family Medicine. Over the past few years, she has enjoyed practicing at one of the best integrative medical centers in Atlanta and currently has her own functional medicine consultation practice, Dr. Tanya Lehine, LLC.
During her career, she has served a wide demographic of patients and has also functioned in the role of corporate health physician.
The patients that Dr. Lehine has felt honored to serve have described her as passionate, empathetic, approachable, compassionate, and comprehensive in her approach to healing. She continues to be a passionate advocate for functional medicine, self-awareness, personal growth, and transformation.

Robert Shaffer, Ph.D. is a Clinical Psychologist with an expertise in screening and assessment of the functional brain. Using tests developed for sensitivity to brain injury and impairment, his neuropsychological test battery reveals strengths and weaknesses in the various behavioral and cognitive brain functions.
Shaffer also believes illness and injury are often a call from the deeper self to greater wholeness. All good therapists know there is a pitch point in the work that the outcome can either be really good or really bad because we are dealing with true human experience. In Shaffer’s experience, spiritual opportunity through crisis and recovery comes into play.
The tools of this piece of work are techniques and writing of archetypal psychologists. Shaffer’s fundamental process is identification of the complex, which is a knot of emotion and automatic thoughts and behaviors. Once this is encountered with full awareness, the complex directs attention to spiritual transformation. This comes about through exploring the player’s family religious tradition, structured meditations, and revered ancient writings, poetry and art. Creative expression in writing, drawing, and confession in therapy round out the tools of this activity.
